Help Chris Fox Recover from Traumatic Incident
Chris Fox is a retired Pastor and Forest Service Employee. He is the kind of person who would give the shirt off his back to help someone in need. On September 5, Chris was a victim in an active shooting situation involving someone who claimed to be homeless. While Chris was out of the house, this person stole a gun, holed up in Chris' home and shot multiple rounds in various directions. The Stark County Sheriff and Dickinson Police department worked to de-escalate this violent situation, and after a four-hour stand-off, tear gas was deployed through four windows in Chris' home shattering those windows, storm windows and an antique family heirloom hutch. The tactical unit from the Dickinson Police Department also had to break through a fence in Chris' yard to get to the gunman.
Chris isn't asking for a lot -- just enough money to cover his insurance deductible and non-covered expenses. His social security, pastoral pension and another small pension are his only sources of income. Let's help him get through what has been a terribly traumatic time for him.
