My name is John and I work as a Front Desk Assistant at the Quality Inn. Chris is one of our frequent guests and is really more like family to the community of Placerville and El Dorado County. He is now on the verge of homelessness and is currently trying to get a voucher from the county to get more time to have shelter here at our hotel.
Chris is a 76-year-old gentleman from Pasadena and has now been living in Placerville for over 50 years.
His dog, Star, recently passed away due to a splenic mass, and he's just trying to get by staying at the hotel with the discounted rate we're giving him. He cannot stay in his car any longer in his current condition.
Christopher recently had a stroke; it is his second stroke and brain problem he's had in the last eight months. Chris is trying to create a steady, comfortable, and non-stressful environment for himself. He is currently staying at a hotel in Cameron Park and is gathering the help of whoever is willing.
He has had torn shoulder rotators for over 20 years and was a professional painter (contracting).
We are fundraising for:
- Necessities
- Medical Bills
- MRI (continuing care)
- Comprehensive neurosurgical treatment
Chris is currently getting treatment at Mercy San Juan Hospital in Carmichael, CA.
