Our family is facing something no one is ever truly prepared for.
My brother, Chris Bailey, has just passed unexpectedly of metastatic pancreatic cancer. What started as a fight we hoped he could win has become a reality we are now trying to face with as much love, dignity, and comfort as possible.
Chris is, at his core, someone who takes care of others. That’s just who he is. Whether it’s showing up when someone needs him, offering a hand, or simply being there, he has always put people first.
He is a proud father to four amazing children and grandfather of 6-who mean everything to him.
If you know Chris, you know he has a fun and unique side too. He loves Jack Skellington and Superman—two characters that, in their own ways, reflect both his heart and his strength.
Our family has walked this painful road before. We lost our mother to metastatic breast cancer, and now we are here again with Chris. At the same time, I am also living with metastatic breast cancer myself. The weight of all this is something we are carrying together, day by day.
Right now, our focus is on making sure Chris is surrounded by love, and at peace. We want his family to be able to grieve—not stress or have financial worry.
We are asking for help to cover end-of-life expenses and funeral arrangements. These expenses come at a time when our emotional and physical reserves are already stretched beyond capacity.
If you are able to give, any amount truly helps. If you’re not in a position to donate, sharing this page would mean just as much.
Most importantly, we ask that you keep our family in your thoughts as we walk through this incredibly difficult time.
Thank you for your kindness, your support, and for helping us give Chris the peace and dignity he deserves.
With love and gratitude,
Barbara (Barbie) and The Bailey Family
