With great sadness our boy Chris lost his battle yesterday.

Chris passed in his sleep. Our hearts are broken. Please help his wife Stephanie and his family take care of the expenses.

Chris was an amazing Man and truly deserves the best.

. Hi, I have known Chris & Stephanie when they were first loves in high School. Here is their story.

Please accept our apologies for not including all of you in our brief engagement and wedding, but Chris and I have good reason for doing so...

My NorCal friends know Chris and I were childhood sweethearts. He and I reconnected earlier in the year and in the course of many messages and phone calls, we decided we were serious about dating each other long distance until this fall, giving Chris time to get affairs in order to relocate to and find work in Arizona. We even played around with the idea of getting married in Sacramento next summer. However, Chris became ill early May, so we decided to get engaged during our trip to Bodega Bay, so practitioners could keep me in the loop about his care plan, which involved surgeries on June 5th to remove a cancerous tumor from the side of his tongue and another on his larynx. He lost his ability to talk normally since then.

Chris is a fighter and is recovering, but he is in the middle of various follow up treatments and cannot leave Califonia until they are completed. This is why Chris hasn't been able to call or receive calls from anybody. Chris felt it was best to just power through it, and explain to everybody what the ride was like at the end of the tunnel. Chris's friends and family know he is a strong man and doesn't want to be a burden to nor bring anybody down, especially after the loss of his brother Danny Lopez Sr. to Covid last year.

However, Chris experienced medical complications two weeks ago, which could have been fatal. He and I got married by the hospital chaplain at Kaiser Roseville Medical Center on August 17th.

Many of you have reached out to me for ways you can help. I am currently working with Denise Labane collecting donations to buy Chris Lopez a newer model iPad, iPhone, and related technologies to help him transition to a new way of communicating. Please help Chris communicate.

He has gone through so much. Lets give him some tools to make things a little better. So he can communicate with family & friends which he NEEDS to help him heal.
