Help Chris Fight the Covid-19 Delta Variant

Hi, my name is Andy Maroudas. I am fundraising for Chris Maroudas, my brother. Chris is the dad of 2 very beautiful and loving children. Gabriel is 6 years old, and Vanessa is 4 years old. The kids have not been able to see their dad for a long time because he is in the intensive care unit at the hospital. I know the kids miss their dad very much. Chris loves his children, and wants to see them, but he cannot see them yet. Even though Chris is only 42 years old, and has no prior medical issues, Chris is on a ventilator fighting for his life against the Covid-19 Delta variant.

Chris is unconscious under general anesthesia and chemical paralysis to be able to tolerate the ventilator. Chris has had good days and bad days. We stay encouraged with the thought "2 steps forward, 1 step back."

The nurses think that Chris can hear when he is roused enough to move him during his cycles of laying prone on his stomach to assist with breathing and laying on his back to build endurance. We created a poster board with pictures of the children and the children's names on it. This way the nurses can say the children's names to him to help encourage Chris with what he is fighting for. When Chris wakes up, the picture board will be one of the first things he sees.

Chris owns an online consignment shop and is its only employee. His business is on hold now, and when he recovers, he will probably have a lengthy recovery period that will limit his ability to work.
