Chris has always been known for his big heart, his humor, and his determination. This past year, he made becoming a better man a top priority, and became someone we were all so proud to see thriving.

Suddenly, in a devastating turn, he was diagnosed with an extremely rare and aggressive sarcoma that developed deep within his hip and pelvic bone, a cancer known as a MPNST, Malignant Peripheral Nerve Sheath Tumor. This form of cancer is so uncommon that it affects only 0.01% of people worldwide each year.

This diagnosis has been life-altering. The tumor causes excruciating pain and has completely taken away his ability to work, drive, or move around independently. Treatment has included intense chemotherapy and radiation, and he faces the possibility of major surgery in the months ahead. Despite all of this, Chris continues to fight every day with courage and grace that humbles everyone who knows him.

Chris is a loving father to two beautiful, bright children — CJ and Kylee, a beloved son to Bonnie and Bob, a brother to Jeff and Brandon, and a friend to many. He has always been the one to make others laugh, to help without being asked, and to lift spirits when things got tough. Now, he’s the one who needs our support.
