My name is Amanda Fenwick wife of Chris Fenwick. Chris is 40 yr old. If someone had told me 8 months ago that my husband, Chris would still be in the hospital I wouldn't of believed them.
In late June of 2016 he was complaining of stomach cramps and pain (blockage). This led to 2 major surgeries on the 4th and 14th of July 2016. Chris had 27 in. of dead intestine removed.
We learned during this time of Crohn's disease and his non-alcoholic cirrhosis of the liver.
Over the next 5 months there were a few ups but unfortunately many complications.
Chris next surgeries we're December 2nd and December 5th of 2016. We almost lost him. I couldn't imagine how I would've told our 7year old , daughter who just happens to be a "daddy's girl " that we lost him.
Over 7/8 months we've been in 7 different facilities, including a month in Indianapolis.
Right now our goal is for Chris to rest , grow stronger with therapy and manage wound care.
I'd like to thank everyone for their prayers and generosity. I have to admit, it's been a struggle both financially and emotionally.
