Hey friends, Pilot Point Bearcat Alum, Backspin, ACL Fest patrons and everyone that sees this post!
We just recently found out that our good friend, Class of 92' PPHS classmate, bar man extraordinaire and my first roomate, Chris Cobler, was just diagnosed with Stage 3 esophageal cancer. It was a punch in the gut to hear this news. He will be starting on a feeding tube to build his strength and then the chemo begins. It is not going to be easy for him for sure. But, he is a strong fella. He is also as good a dude as there is on this planet. All of us that call him friend or have been blessed to cross his path in life, are better for knowing him. After discussions with some mutual friends. It was decided that we could all put our best foot forward to chip in to help out Cob and his loved ones. So, to all you good people out there that do, did or don't know Cob. DONATE PLEASE!!! Also, don't tell him about this GoFundMe or he will probably hunt me down and punt me. We will wait until a few bucks have been thrown in the kitty and then let him know about it. So, please, If you could find it in your heart to throw a few bucks into this gofundme bucket? I know he and all of his family would be forever grateful.

Chris has confirmed that he is aware of the GoFundMe campaign and will determine how the funds will be used with the asistance of his fiance, Dawn Flores. Per the legal requirements of the GoFundMe website, the beneficiary of these funds must be Dawn Flores. She will direct the funds. Chris Cobler will have the ultimate authority in how funds are distributed. Chris Viteychuk, Dawn Flores and Chris Cobler want to express our gratitude for the outpouring of love and support from all of his friends.
