As if 2020 wasn’t bad enough, my brother, your friend, family member, and/or coworker Christopher Bohn (also known as CB, Chris, Toph, and Dad) has been diagnosed with Colon Cancer. In June, Christopher began to experience stomach pain with no real clear answer of what it could be. Over the last few months and six separate doctor’s appointments later, it was determined that he has a 3-4 cm tumor in his colon.  He and Kayla met with an Oncologist and the Doctor is currently uncertain if it’s Stage II or Stage III.  Surgery to remove the tumor will be scheduled fairly quickly and once the tumor is removed, they will have a better idea of the Stage he is dealing with.

Christopher and Kayla and their three beautiful children have been dealt a tricky hand but their entire family is positive that Christopher will beat this thing and we will all be celebrating his health by this time next year!

 As one can only imagine, the costs associated with cancer are high. There are going to be significant expenses for Christopher and Kayla while they wade through this new season of life, including his loss of income while attending doctors’ appointments and recovering from surgery, copays and medical bills and all the other financial impacts that come along with this terrible disease.
