Hi everyone, my name is Jason Adams. One of my best friends and one of the best people on this planet, Chris Bieker, needs our help. A little over 2 weeks ago, on Friday, Chris started to have symptoms of Covid-19. He got tested the next day and found out he was positive. Monday he went to the ER for chest pains and a 102 degree fever. He was sent home with an inhaler and a oxygen monitor, instructed to go back in if his o2 dipped below 90%. It dipped on Wednesday, and he went back in. He ended up receiving a breathing treatment and was sent home again. On Thursday he went back in as his oxygen levels had dropped again and they fully admitted him.

Chris has now been in the hospital for 10 days. For the first few days he was able to talk to his friends and family, but his body was not responding to the medicine and he could not keep his oxygen levels where they needed to be. Early Tuesday morning, 29 Jun, the decision was made to put Chris under and support his o2 via a ventilator. As of today Chris is still on the ventilator but has shown improvement these last 3 days which has given his family and friends hope that he is going to come back home to us. We know he has a long road ahead and some more fighting to do but with all of the positive thoughts and prayers and the over whelming support Chris has been given already we know he is going to be ok.

Unfortunately we know a long hospital stay can result in large medical bills. Without knowing how long Chris will be out of work and having to catch up on his current bills like his mortgage and car payment, we assume he will need a little help in paying those hospital bills. We are currently working with his insurance to get clarity on how much Chris' policy will cover but we felt $7500 would be sufficient to help cover those bills and possibly some of those other bills as Chris recovers.
