My name is Michael Hensley, husband of my wonderful wife, Christina Hensley. Back in January, after a few weeks of confusion, losing focus and not feeling well, Chris lost consciousness and was rushed to the Emergency room, and I was told she wouldn't make it. However, God watched over her and held her hand to pull her through! The following day they performed emergency surgery and found a tumor pressing on her brain. They believe that they removed most of the tumor; unfortunately, our results came back with Chris being diagnosed with Glioblastoma (Brain Cancer).

 

This type of cancer has over 90% chance of returning, and most people diagnosed do not make it past one year. So we have a very long road ahead of us, and her hospital bills are costly, not to mention she can no longer work.

I am semi-retired and going on 74 years old. I am having a hard time taking care of all the piling-up bills. It is tough for me to work and take care of her simultaneously. She needs constant attention and help, and the hospital bills are very pricey! I am not one to ask for help, but my grandson mentioned starting a GoFundMe.

 

We do have five beautiful children and have been blessed with four grandchildren. All have been stepping in to help us on this journey! However, the financial aspect of this keeps adding up. Chris loves being a grandma and has always been involved with everything in their lives. We want to keep her here as long as God is willing to bless us.
