Help Chris Anthony & Family Kick Colon Cancer to the Curb

Dear friends, family, and community,

On August 8th, our friend Chris Anthony, a loving husband and dedicated father, was diagnosed with colon cancer. What started as a sudden and unexpected obstruction led to the discovery that the cancer had already spread to his abdominal wall. Although the doctors acted quickly to remove the obstruction, Chris faces a long, challenging road ahead with aggressive treatment.

Chris has long been a vital force in our community. For years, he’s been quietly working behind the scenes, providing tens of thousands of meals to our unhoused neighbors and always stepping up whenever someone in the community needed help. Whether it’s crowdsourcing resources or organizing mutual aid efforts, Chris has always taken genuine pleasure in being of service to others.

Now it’s our turn to show up for him.

As Chris faces this enormous challenge, he and his wife, Monica, are overwhelmed by the financial strain of ongoing treatments, surgeries, and care. They can’t do this alone. That’s why we’re reaching out to the community to which Chris has given so much, to ask for your support.

Your donations will go directly toward covering Chris’s medical expenses, including treatments, surgeries, medication, and the ongoing care that will be crucial to his recovery. It will also help to ease the financial burden on Monica and the kids during this incredibly difficult time.
