On November 14th, 2022 Chris Cole was enjoying time with his family in Dollywood to kick off the holiday season. He had no idea a week later he would be in the hospital fighting an infection and ultimately getting his leg amputated. Chris has neuropathy of the feet, which means he has no feeling. At some point he broke his foot, and infection spread. He ended up getting his right leg amputated from the knee down.

Chris is doing so well and making great progress considering the situation. He is in good spirits and has such an amazing support system, but he has a long road to recovery ahead that includes adjusting to major life changes mentally and physically. Not only that his wife, my Aunt Vicki will be his primary care taker during this process. They are going to need to install a ramp for Chris to use to get in and out of the house and a bathroom remodel for him to safely shower. These are major life altering and financial expenses that they were not expecting.

To know my Aunt Vic and Chris is to love them. They have been there for every single one of us throughout our lives and now it’s time for us to show up for them.
