My name is Chris. I’m a LA based artist (he/they). I’ve worked in animation for about a year. Because things in industry has been bad, I’m reduced to working retail and odd jobs to make ends meet. This year has been a lot for me. I evacuated the Hurst fires back in January. My house turned out safe. Thankfully, the generous donations helped me stay afloat for most of the year. Now, I’ve been put in a very difficult situation where I need to find to stay by with my cat December 1st or, to put it bluntly, I will be homeless. Savings have almost gone. While I might be able to put in a deposit on a new place (depending on what they’re asking), moving will be hard and my low-paying job has been demanding of my time and energy.
