Chris's Road to Recovery
Donation protected
On October 26, Chris was in a serious accident while doing what he loves: rallying. Even with all the safety precautions, the unthinkable happened, and he suffered multiple breaks to his leg, ankle, and foot. While he is incredibly resilient, he’s now facing a long and difficult road to recovery. This injury means Chris is looking at months away from work just as Christmas approaches, and as a self-employed dad with three boys, he doesn’t have the luxury of paid leave, and insurance only covers so much due to the nature of his injury.
Rallying has always been Chris’s passion, a hobby that allows him to unwind after the long hours he works each week to support his family. Outside of work, he’s also a valued member of the community, always ready to help others and even sponsoring one of his son’s basketball teams.
As his sister, I’ve seen first-hand how much Chris gives to others. He’s one of the most generous and caring people I know, always the first to lend a hand or offer support to anyone in need. Now, we have the opportunity to give back to Chris and support him and his family during this difficult time. Chris is currently still in hospital, having just had major surgery on his leg, ankle and foot.
For those of you who know Chris, you know he’s not one to ask for help, but he has an amazing family, his partner and their three boys, who depend on him, and right now, he could use a little support.
We’re hoping to raise funds to help cover medical costs, support his recovery, and help ease the financial pressure on his family, especially with Christmas around the corner. Every little bit helps and will make a real difference in lightening their load. Any excess funds will be donated to the amazing emergency services that have helped Chris and so many others.
Your support will go towards:
Medical Costs: Covering any surgeries, treatments, and follow-ups not covered by insurance.
Family Support: Helping his partner and three boys manage day-to-day expenses while he’s unable to work.
Rehabilitation: Allowing Chris access to the therapies he’ll need to heal.
Holiday Relief: Easing the financial strain a bit as we approach the holiday season.
The road ahead won’t be easy, but together, we can help Chris and his family focus on his recovery and healing without the extra worry. Any support you can offer means the world to us.
