I'm a friend of Chris, and I'm organizing this fundraiser with his permission to help him and his Great Dane, Frodo. All funds raised will go directly to Chris.

Help Chris and Frodo Stay Safe on the Road

Chris and his Great Dane, Frodo, are currently living on the road after an unexpected change in Chris's housing situation left them with few options. What started as a necessary solution has become increasingly difficult as the van they depend on has developed a number of mechanical, electrical, and safety issues.

Chris is now asking for help getting the van safe, reliable, and livable so he and Frodo can continue moving forward.

How They Got Here

After the end of a seven-year relationship, Chris began looking for a new place for himself and his pets. He had hoped to move back to his home state of Maryland, and at one point it appeared that housing there was going to work out. Unfortunately, that opportunity fell through.

Shortly afterward, Chris learned that his former partner's boyfriend would be moving in, leaving him with very little time to find another solution.

Finding housing that would accommodate a Great Dane proved especially difficult. Frodo also has heart issues, and Chris was not willing to give him up simply because his housing options were limited.

With traditional housing no longer a realistic immediate option, Chris decided that living on the road was the best path forward.

At the same time, Chris had recently revived his Greenfellaz channel and wanted to continue his work raising awareness and funds for FMF and AID Global Association. Rather than putting those efforts aside, he decided to document this new chapter of his life through Greenfellaz while figuring out where he belongs next.

His cat, Friday, has since been rehomed for the time being, while Chris continues forward with Frodo.

Life on the Road Hasn't Gone According to Plan

Chris has now been on the road for about a month, and the van he relies on has already presented a number of unexpected problems.

The driver's-side window stopped working, the charging ports stopped working, and the remote opening mechanisms for the driver's-side sliding door and trunk have never worked properly. The van needs new tires and has an issue with its tire-pressure monitoring system.

There are also concerns with the backup camera and blind-spot system, which don't always function properly.

On top of that, the van needs routine maintenance, including an oil change and having its fluids and filters checked. The Totally Integrated Power Module (TIPM), which controls important electrical functions in the vehicle, has also been recommended for replacement. Other maintenance items, including spark plugs, hoses, air conditioning maintenance, and brake work, are also needed.

These aren't simply upgrades. This van is currently Chris and Frodo's home and primary means of transportation, so keeping it safe and dependable is a priority.

Friends, family, and strangers have already shown Chris tremendous kindness along the way. This fundraiser is an effort to build on that support and help him get to a more stable place.

How Your Support Will Help

The initial goal is $10,000, which will go toward the immediate needs of keeping Chris, Frodo, and their van safe and functional.

Electrical & Power: $2,500

This includes addressing the van's electrical needs, along with solar panels and wiring to help keep the power station Chris already has charged while he is on the road.

Equipment & Storage: $3,000

This will help make the van a more functional living space, including storage and organizational equipment, a basic cooking setup, and other practical necessities for life on the road.

Vehicle Repairs & Maintenance: $3,500

This includes the TIPM, tires, tire-pressure monitoring system, general maintenance, spark plugs, hoses, charging ports, driver's-side window, door and trunk access, backup camera, blind-spot system, brakes, air conditioning, and other necessary repairs.

Gas & Tolls: $1,000

Fuel and tolls have become a significant ongoing expense. This portion will help Chris continue traveling while he works toward greater stability.

Every dollar will go directly to Chris and will help address these immediate needs.

What Comes Next

The immediate goal is simple: make sure Chris and Frodo are safe, comfortable, and have a reliable way to get from one place to the next.

Beyond that, Chris hopes to continue building Greenfellaz and eventually get the channel monetized. He also wants to help establish the U.S. affiliate of FMF & AID Global Association so that more patients can be supported and the organization can pursue additional funding and fundraising opportunities in the United States.

Chris also hopes to pursue acting. He has taken classes, received industry guidance, and is working toward creating new opportunities for himself.

For Chris, life on the road isn't just about where he ended up. It's about finding a way to move forward.

He describes the road as something he needs not only out of necessity, but as an opportunity to thrive.

Please Consider Helping or Sharing

If you're able to donate, your support will help Chris address the immediate problems with the van and create a safer, more sustainable situation for himself and Frodo.

If you aren't able to donate, sharing this fundraiser can be just as valuable. The more people who see Chris's story, the more opportunities there are to reach someone who can help.

Thank you to everyone who has already supported Chris through this transition, and to everyone taking the time to read his story.
