Help Chris and Fenway in Their Time of Need

Our dear friend Chris, a kind and dedicated individual who served our San Francisco community for ten years as an EMT, is facing severe hardship. For nearly two years, Chris has experienced homelessness in San Francisco, with his loyal companion, Fenway, by his side since puppyhood. Now 14, Fenway, Chris's everything, is facing serious health challenges, including severe arthritis.

Chris, who once compassionately went out of his way to feed and comfort homeless dogs during his time as an EMT, now finds himself in a dire situation where Fenway is his biggest comfort and responsibility.

We are reaching out to our community, fellow dog lovers, and compassionate individuals to help Chris and Fenway get the urgent care they desperately need. Fenway deserves to live out his days with dignity and comfort, and the veterinary costs for a senior dog can be significant.

Here's how your support will make a critical difference:

Fenway's Urgent Care:

Large Dog Stroller: Chris's previous stroller was stolen. Fenway, at 14 with severe arthritis, cannot walk far and urgently needs a new stroller to get around.

Urgent Diagnostics: Covering potential emergency examination fees, X-rays, blood work, and radiographs to diagnose and address Fenway's condition.

Support for Chris:

Storage Unit ($160/month): To protect the belongings Chris has left. We aim to cover this for 6-12 months. This space is crucial as it serves as his daytime home base -we can't risk him losing this space!

Solar Charger: Essential for Chris to charge his phone and stay connected.

Food: For both Chris and Fenway.

Support for Stringer: Chris's other dog, Stringer, is being cared for by a friend. Funds will help cover his food, medicine, and boarding costs.

Our initial goal is $6,000 to address these immediate and potential veterinary expenses, alongside crucial support for Chris, Fenway and Stringer. Having dedicated years to our community as a first responder, we believe it's our turn to support Chris.
