Hi my name is Amanda - Im very good friends with Chris and his wife Steph. They have 2 daughters still living at home and their world was turned upside down recently. Chris was admitted to hospital with what was thought to be a routine kidney and liver infection, they then found a blood clot on huis lung. The infection quickly took hold and his heart began to struggle. After a long few weeks in hospital Chris was told the devastating news that his heart was not strong enough and he was fitted with a LVAD mechanical heart and placed on the urgent critical heart transplant list. He cannot return home until a suitable donor has been found and the heart transplanted.

Anyone that knows Chris knows he is a devout family man and his main worry through all of this is the wellbeing and financial burden this will be having on his wife and daughters.

I would love to raise enough money to cover their mortgage payments for a year or for Steph to be bale to be by his side through the recovery without the worry of not being paid.

I know the family have lots of friends and family asking how they can help support them through this time so I thought this was a good idea for all those people to be able to come together and show Chris we are behind him and doing what we can to ease the other pressures of life while he concentrates on his long road of recovery.
