As a neighbor and friend I am hoping to raise some funds to help Chris revive his pursuit of higher education. It may be college, or music, or the trades. He is a very intelligent young man with a tar-bucket memory and a thirst for knowledge about everything, especially history and science.

Unfortunately, he has had a tough life. The untimely deaths of his parents, followed by foster homes, homelessness, bad decisions leading to brushes with the law, uninspiring menial jobs--all of these life factors interfered with his attempts to complete college. Now he is getting his life together with a stable home of his own, regular counseling, some caregiving gigs and a supportive group of neighbors.

I will initially serve as executor of the fund, with a dedicated checking account. Disbursements will be made for tuition, books and travel to classes.
