Help Chris Access Life-Saving Cancer Treatments

There are moments in life when time suddenly becomes the most valuable thing you own.
Not someday.
Right now.

For me, time looks like helping my daughter with homework. Playing trains with my son. Holding my wife’s hand across the table at the end of an ordinary Tuesday.

These moments are ordinary.
And they are everything.

A Window Has Opened

Over December and January, I was placed on a systemic treatment pause because of the protocol for the clinical drug I had been receiving. During that time, I began researching what options might exist for the next stage of treatment.

In the process, I discovered something that gave me real hope.

For the first time in history, three clinical trials are opening that target a rare genetic mutation my cancer carries — KRAS G12V. These are not general chemotherapy options. They are precision therapies designed specifically for what is happening inside my body.

This kind of targeted treatment simply did not exist even a year ago.

The Barrier

To qualify for these trials — and to give them the strongest chance of working — I need surgery and targeted radiation to reduce my tumor burden.

These procedures are not experimental.
They are not radical.
They are standard-of-care treatments for earlier-stage patients.

However, because my cancer is considered stage IV, insurance policies do not authorize these interventions at this stage of disease progression, even though they remain medically legitimate options.

In order to pursue these trials, I must work outside of my insurance coverage and fund these interventions out of pocket.

Treatment Strategy

The estimated out-of-pocket cost to execute this treatment strategy is approximately $450,000. Our goal is to raise $600,000 to ensure that any complications or unexpected costs do not interrupt the overall plan.

The first step is removal of the primary tumor, which currently represents more than 50% of the total cancer burden in my body. Removing it addresses the most immediate barrier to qualifying for — and meaningfully responding to — the precision trials we are pursuing.

Following surgery, a targeted liver strategy will address the next most significant area of disease. My liver remains strong, which creates a critical opportunity to intervene while meaningful control is still possible. Because of the liver’s complexity and importance, this phase requires a carefully staged approach designed to reduce tumor burden while preserving healthy tissue.

The funding goal also reflects responsible planning for the realities of complex surgery, ensuring that an unexpected complication does not halt the broader treatment strategy.

Funding this plan accomplishes two decisive objectives:
1. It removes the immediate barriers driving disease progression.
2. It positions me to access trials that did not exist even a year ago.

This is not about denying reality.

It is about acting within it — while the door to these treatments is open.

The Invitation

If this were someone you loved — your spouse, your parent, your child — you would want every legitimate option on the table.

That is what this fund provides.

If you give, you are directly funding surgery that clears the path to precision trials.

If you share, you may help reach the person who makes the difference.

I want to help my daughter with geometry homework in high school.
I want to watch my son play sports.
I want more ordinary Tuesdays.

This is not about defying statistics.

It is about refusing to stop before science has had its say.

Thank you for helping me walk through this door while it is still open.
