Help Chocho's Brain Tumor
Donation protected
Chocho is a 10.5 year old corgi living in sunny California. We adopted him when he was 8 years old and have been blessed by his presence for the last 2-3 years. He has been the best-est boy during this time and even managed to learn new tricks despite what people say about older dogs. 11 days ago, in the middle of the night, Chocho had 2 grand-mal seizures within a span of 3 hours. We immediately took him to the emergency vet and started him on keppra, an anti-seizure medication and got him in the books for an MRI -- with the soonest availability being in June.
He was responding well to the medication until last night (4/24) when he started having consecutive seizures that were not stopping and he was not fully recovering between them. We rushed him to the ER again where they immediately had him on a catheter and IV fluids to try and control the seizures. We were told that he is stable for now, but he is still breathing very hard. They are planning to keep him in the hospital for another night and look into whether he can handle an MRI.
We are raising money to help cover (but not fully pay for) Chocho's hospital stays, medication, and MRI scans, which are adding up to be over $10,000. Thank you so much for your help and consideration.
May UPDATE:
