HELP CHLOE WALK AGAIN ❤️

Hi everyone, we are Daria and Simone, and we are reaching out with heavy hearts for our beloved Chloe, a sweet 4-year-old French Bulldog.

During a quiet weekend at the lake, we noticed Chloe seemed down. At first, we thought it was a stomach issue, but when she started having trouble moving her back legs, we knew something was wrong. We drove nearly 2 hours to the nearest emergency clinic, where they gave her a painkiller and advised us to see a neurologist as soon as possible.

Unfortunately, once we got her home, the pain became unbearable. We rushed her to another emergency clinic with a neurology department, where she was hospitalized urgently.

The following evening, she underwent major spinal surgery for IVDD. The procedure was complex, but the vets were able to remove all the material pressing on her spinal cord.

Now, Chloe is under close medical supervision, and her recovery journey has begun. The next few weeks will be crucial to determine if she can regain mobility. She has started eating and drinking again, and her physiotherapy will begin soon to maximize her chances of walking again.

The surgery and hospitalization costs, along with upcoming rehabilitation and post-operative care, are a huge financial challenge for us. The surgery and the first two days of hospitalization will cost around €6,000, with additional post-operative care and physiotherapy expenses.

Ciao a tutti, siamo Daria e Simone e vi scriviamo con il cuore pesante per la nostra amata Chloe, una dolcissima Bulldog Francese di 4 anni.

Durante un tranquillo weekend al lago, abbiamo notato che Chloe era un po’ giù di tono. All’inizio pensavamo fosse un problema di stomaco, ma quando ha iniziato ad avere difficoltà a muovere le zampe posteriori, ci siamo subito preoccupati. Abbiamo guidato quasi 2 ore per raggiungere la clinica d’emergenza più vicina, dove le hanno somministrato un antidolorifico e consigliato di vedere un neurologo il prima possibile.

Purtroppo, una volta tornata a casa, il dolore è diventato insopportabile. A quel punto, siamo corsi in un’altra clinica d’emergenza con un reparto di neurologia, dove è stata ricoverata d’urgenza.

La sera successiva, Chloe ha subito un’importante operazione alla colonna vertebrale per IVDD. L’intervento è stato complesso, ma i veterinari sono riusciti a rimuovere tutto il materiale che premeva sul suo midollo spinale.

Ora Chloe è sotto stretta osservazione medica e ha iniziato il suo percorso di recupero. Le prossime settimane saranno cruciali per capire se potrà riacquistare la mobilità. Ha ripreso a mangiare e bere e presto inizierà la fisioterapia per aumentare le sue possibilità di tornare a camminare.

Le spese per l’operazione e il ricovero, insieme alla futura riabilitazione e alle cure post-operatorie, rappresentano per noi una grande sfida economica. L’intervento e i primi due giorni di ricovero costeranno circa 6.000€, a cui si aggiungeranno ulteriori spese per la fisioterapia e le cure post-operatorie.
