Hello, my name is Albert Horvath. My dog, Chloe, is not just a pet — she is my family and my world. On September 6th, Chloe was the victim of a sudden and violent dog attack. She was rushed to VCA Veterinary Emergency Service in Janesville, WI, where she underwent emergency surgery for deep bite wounds, heavy sedation, wound debridement, and the placement of drains to help her body heal.
That first night alone cost $1,846.

Chloe’s Ongoing Battle
I hoped that first emergency would be enough, but just days later, on September 11th, Chloe spiked a high fever and her wounds began to break down. The drains failed, the infection worsened, and parts of her skin are now dying from the trauma. I had to take her to the VCA Milwaukee Emergency Center, where she received more urgent care, wound flushing, cultures, and a new antibiotic (Baytril).
That visit was another $258.95.
She is now on a cocktail of medications:
Gabapentin (pain)
Trazodone (rest)
AmoxiClav (antibiotic)
Carprofen (anti-inflammatory)
Enrofloxacin / Baytril (strong antibiotic)
She also needs wound care, rechecks, staple removal, and possibly further surgery to manage tissue loss once infection is controlled.

Why I Need Help
Chloe is fighting so hard to survive, but this is far from over. I’ve already spent over $2,100 in just a few days, and the vets have made it clear that more costs are coming:
Recheck visits & wound care
Possible wound repair or reconstructive treatment
Long-term medications and cultures
I am doing everything I can — working around the clock to cover bills — but this has pushed me far beyond what I can manage on my own.

How You Can Help
Every single donation, no matter how small, will go directly toward Chloe’s medical care. Your support will:
Keep her on the medications she needs
Cover follow-up vet visits and rechecks
Give her a chance to fully heal from this terrifying attack
If you can’t donate, please consider sharing this campaign with others.

❤️ Closing
Chloe is my best friend. She brings me comfort, companionship, and love every day. Seeing her in pain, fighting infections, and struggling after such a brutal attack is breaking me. I am determined to give her the care she needs, but I can’t do it alone.
Please, help me save Chloe.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
