Hey everyone... I never thought I'd have to write something like this. My name is Sierra and this fundraiser is for my best friend, Chloe.
Chloe has been part of my life since I was 5 years old. She's been my comfort, safety, and my spirit animal.
Chloe is now 17 and her body is declining. She's been dealing with arthritis, cataracts, spine issues, periodontal disease, and now ulcers in her mouth. Because of this, she recently has been having trouble opening her mouth to eat and to take medicine for her pain. This has caused her to lose weight, have more toothaches, worsened disease, not being able to stand up for a long time/limping, and having trouble breathing.
I was told that there is no reversing her periodontal disease as it will only worsen with time. I was told she has few days/weeks left of life and was handed euthanasia papers. No one prepares you for this moment. I’ve been taking it a day at a time.
These past few weeks, I've been trying to keep her comfortable and give her as much love as I can in whatever time she has left. I'm doing the best I can and am in a difficult position to decide what's best for Chloe as her condition worsens and her having episodes of panic & distress.
I recently have been caring for Chloe on my own, doing everything I can to keep her comfortable, safe, and surrounded by love. Her pain, urgent hospital visits, and medical bills have been emotionally and financially overwhelming, but she deserves the best in her final days.
I just want Chloe's final days to be peaceful. I want to make sure she doesn't suffer, and if the time comes where I have to say goodbye, I want to do it gently and with dignity.
If you can help — with anything — it would mean the world to me.
Your support will go directly toward:
Vet visits
Pain medication
Senior care supplies
Soft food she can actually eat
Comfort care
And when the time comes... a peaceful end-of-life service
Anything helps, even sharing this.
Thank you for taking the time to read this.
Thank you for caring about Chloe.
And thank you for helping me give her the love, comfort, and peace she deserves
❤️
