Hi everyone, my name is Victoria Moyorido and I’ve started this GoFundMe to help my mom, Silvia “Chivy” Muñoz, who suffered a severe medical emergency in February. She called me sick with what we thought was just a UTI and I visited her to help care for her because she was very weak. Two days passed and things only got worse. She was barely conscious, couldn’t hold anything down, weak, and could barely walk. Suddenly, she collapsed and couldn’t get up anymore. Paramedics were called to take her to the hospital but they said she was fine and just needed to take her medication. Next day she felt a pain in her chest and they finally took her to the hospital. At this point she wasn’t even aware of what was happening. She couldn’t even walk. At the hospital she had her sugar levels at over 800, her UTI, a gall bladder infection, kidney failure, and sepsis. I’m her only daughter and I was devastated and terrified. She ended up needing emergency surgery to remove her gall bladder and dialysis for her kidneys. She luckily made it through all of that. She’s now at home and recovering. She still is unable to walk alone. She needs help and requires a walker. She’s still weak, but thanks to God and her doctors she’s much better now. Unfortunately, because of her lack of insurance she is completely unable to pay her medical bills. She lost her job because she was in the hospital from around February 21 to March 4. The total we reached was from all her medical bills. She has no income and has no way of paying these extremely high bills. All donations are very much appreciated. If she is blessed enough to surpass her goal she will use her money for her bills and future medical expenses. Saludos a todos, yo me llamo Victoria y abrí este evento para recaudar fondos para ayudar a mi mamá, Silvia “Chivy” Muñoz. Tuvo una emergencia médica en febrero. Lo que pensamos que era una infección urinaria, fue pear de lo que pensábamos. Vine a visitarla porque estaba muy débil y necesitabami ayuda. Dos días pasaron y se puso muy grave. No podía comer, no pudo caminar bien,  y estaba delirando. Ya por fin sus pierna no la pudieron detener y se cayó. Los paramédicos vinieron y no se la llevaron y nada más dijeron que se tome su medicamento. Al otro día sintió un dolor en el pecho y por fin se la llevaron al hospital. Cuando llamaron tenía la azúcar a niveles más de 800, infección urinaria, infección de vesícula, falla de riñón, y sepsis. Yo soy su única hija y estaba devastada y asustada. Le tuvieron que hacer cirugía de emergency para sacarle la vesícula y dialysis para los riñones. Gracias a Dios, salió bien de la cirugía y todo. Ya por fin está en casa recuperando. Todavía no puede caminar sin ayuda de un andador. Todavía está un poco débil, pero gracias a los doctores está progresando. Desafortunadamente, no tiene seguro médico y no puede pagar los recibos médicos. Perdió el trabajo porque estuvo en el hospital desde febrero 21 hasta el 4 de marzo. El total que queremos lograr es para pagar todos los recibos médicos. No tiene ingresos y sería imposible pagar ella sola. Todas las donaciones son apreciadas.
