Help Chip & Paula with Tristan's Medical Bills

As you may know, last week Tristan Linscott was life flighted to Nationwide Children’s Hospital after Paula took him to the ER. He had not been able to keep food or water down for 2 days, though his 102 fever had just started to come down. The doctors rushed to find him a room and get him started on an IV and medicine, but when his blood results came back showing severe, unexplained inflammation, the doctors became extremely worried and told Paula that he needed to be transported to Columbus and that Nationwide wanted him there immediately.

Words like sepsis, organ failure, and death were used when explaining possible outcomes. Tristan had become mostly non-responsive at this point and was not making eye contact. In a daze and completely overwhelmed Paula asked if she could ride in an ambulance with him. Then she heard the helicopter and was told it was sent there for Tristan.

Paula and Chip said that the next 24 hours were rough physically and emotionally, but after being treated at Children’s, Tristan’s bloodwork showed improvement. The severe inflammation that the doctors feared could lead to organ failure or death had decreased. He was given IV medicine and fluids and after a 2 night stay, was allowed to go home.

Though they are private and not initially interested in asking for help, the reality of the financial situation has become obvious. They need help and will not be able to make any kind of significant payment for the foreseeable future. A few friends have reached out asking how to help, so Paula and Chip agreed that a gofundme that is not publicly shared would be the only option they were comfortable with.

At this point they are just grateful that Tristan is ok and that things did not turn out the way the ER doctors feared. If you want to help ease the financial burden, I know that Paula and Chip would be so grateful. They have asked that if you want to share the gofundme with others that you know love the family, please make sure to ask those individuals to not share this publicly. They don’t want to ask for help when so many people are hurting and in need.
