On the early morning of February 26th, 2021 my brother Gabriel suffered a tragic vehicle accident on his way home from work. He was approximately 15 minutes from reaching his home when he fell asleep at the wheel and crashed head on into the sound wall along the freeway. When he finally woke up he realized that he was pinned between his seat and the steering wheel. As he struggled to escape the van, a fire ignited in the cabin and his clothing caught fire. 
Moments later a gentleman driving by seen the van on fire and stopped to help him out of the burning van.

Gabriel was immediately taken to the ER where he was admitted suffering 2nd and 3rd degree burns on 20% of his body. Since then he has undergone his first skin grafting surgery and he is doing as best as can be expected. He will be hospitalized for the foreseeable future and may undergo a second skin grafting surgery. 

We know that the road to recovery will be a long journey and every little bit helps.
