Today I met a single mom named China at Walmart.
I asked her if she had dropped a diamond ring. Even though she's going through more than most people could imagine, she chose to tell the truth.
To reward her honesty, I gave her $1,000.
She began to tear up as she shared her story.
China is raising two toddlers on her own. One of her children is on the spectrum, and the other is currently in the hospital waiting for a heart transplant. China is also battling homelessness as she just lost her job because of all the hospital visits, and while visiting her son at the hospital, her car was stolen. Between the medical challenges, emotional stress, and trying to survive day by day, life has been overwhelming.
And yet, even in the middle of all that pain, she still chose honesty.
A mom like China shouldn't have to carry this alone. Let's rally around her and help this family with a place to call home, a new car, and help with their medical expenses.
Do your thing, internet ❤️
