Like many of us, I hate asking for help. But my cat Chimmy is sick and so I’m asking on her behalf. I’ve had her for little over 4 years and she means the world to me.

She had not been eating and was turning yellow so we took her to the vet and then took her to the ER where they had to sedate her and give her an IV and feeding tube. At one point she stopped breathing for a bit.

When I finally got a chance to visit her she still had not eaten in over a week. She immediately recognized me and came to me. It broke my heart to see her skinny and with tubes coming out of her.

I brought her some food and she immediately started eating. It was a good sign and I wept as she ate.

Now we wait. For her liver enzyme levels to be low enough to come home. We are also waiting on test results to find out if the cause is a growth, a tumor, or worse.
