Help Access to Diabetes Care in Madagascar!

Donation protected
Nearly 6,000 people died from Diabetes in Madagascar in 2019, due to lack of access to care, deficient insulin supply and chronic poverty.  68% of the people with diabetes are undiagnosed. Among those who are, 1/4 are children.

A.MA.DIA. (Malagasy Association against Diabetes / Association MAlgache contre le DIAbete) is a non-profit non-government organization (NGO) that provides the only fully functioning Diabetes care system in the country, with the underfunded public health sector barely functioning. It aims at providing affordable care, subsidising those who can't afford it,  securing insulin supply,  and working to raise awareness and prevention. Doing so takes money. The long term sustainability of such effort is always at risk.

Though subsidised a month supply of insulin still costs around USD 11. An average monthly salary is USD 45.

Supporting this NGO is personal to me. Madagascar is the country of origin of my parents. My father, the Pr Georges Ramahandridona, is one of its founding members.

Every cent counts. All the proceeds will directly go to AMADIA and will help ensure it can continue its action in support of the poor with Diabetes.
