Help for Children in Boise Attack

Hi everyone,

Two weeks ago, an innocent group of children celebrating a 3rd birthday in Boise, Idaho was brutally attacked by a madman. He injured many of the children, one of whom was the beautiful 3-year old birthday girl, Ruya Kadir (pictured above just before the attack). This little angel tragically passed away after days of fighting for her life.

Ruya and many of the young survivors are refugees from countries like Ethiopia & Sudan, who escaped violence and fled to the U.S. for a better life. It's beyond tragic that this senseless act would happen to them here after being so warmly welcomed into the Boise community. 

These children and families need support. Most of these victims (aged 3-12) are still in the hospital fighting for their lives. 

Please join me in supporting the International Rescue Committee Boise and Agency for New Americans Idaho to help these families cope with the aftermath of this horrible tragedy.  

I am working directly with the leadership of these organizations to allocate funds to the families. All contributions will be given directly to the victims for funeral costs, hospital bills, counseling, and related expenses. There is little that can be done to ease the pain of what has happened, but hopefully we can alleviate the smaller worries so these families can focus on healing. 

I hope that we can show these children and families love in response to an act of pure hate.
