Help Children Gain Access to Music Education

Hi! We’re Saiya and Aayan, and we live in Florida. We both began playing violin at a young age, and have always been grateful for the way it has shaped our lives. Besides bringing us countless hours of enjoyment and providing a valuable means of self-expression, violin has given us some of our most memorable achievements.

However, we’ve come to realize that millions of children do not have access to music education due to classical music's unfortunate inherent classist nature. The cost of music lessons and musical instruments makes it challenging for so many children to learn how to play an instrument like the violin.

This is why we founded a project called Music Everywhere, a fundraising initiative aimed at providing instruments and resources to underprivileged schools worldwide. This summer, we are starting our project by going to Guatemala City, where we will visit music schools and connect with the community. We will donate violins to the schools, give many lessons, and perform for the city’s residents. Next summer, we plan to continue this program for students in Ecuador.
