We are a family that are in a tough spot right now (like most people). However, we are at risk at being torn apart because of legal injustices jeopardizing my spouse's place in the States.

Fuyu is a hardworking, diligent, thoughtful creative that has built the foundations of spreading their kindness and having a career path that means a great deal to them.

They endure several medical issues; severe untreated asthma, a permanently damaged hip that leaves their mobility impaired (wheelchair assistance is a must), immunosuppression, high fevers. Our plight has taken a mental toll on them as well. They have suffered from chronic depression, anxiety disorder, and autism for many years. So you can only imagine the state this leaves them in on a daily basis. Seeing the sweetest person I have ever met have to carry such a burden every day is truly the most heartbreaking experience. But this serves as a testament to their strength during these times.

There are two members of our family that provide us comfort and never leave our side (unless they want their space of course )— Whiskey and Vanilla! Our boys are rescues that came from an abusive household that Fuyu took in several years ago, and they have both come a long ways since then. Were the deportation to go into effect, Fuyu would be separated from them both. Whiskey and Vanilla would not acclimate well to the new environment given their Maine Coon heritage. They serve to be Fuyu’s emotional support, and Fuyu is their emotional support. To say they are attached is not even remotely close enough to describing the bond they developed. That is why we want to do everything we can to keep our family together.

Unfortunately, despite all our efforts, it is tough to meet the prerequisites that are needed to strengthen our case. Having done our due diligence, Fuyu and myself (their wife) provided all the necessary documentation and forms accordingly. But our representative failed in submitting the last forms requested to go onto the next step; we were denied.

We are not without hope though. We have the chance to appeal...

Any and all funds will go towards lawyer and filing fees needed in order to continue the process and to ensure that Fuyu does not leave their home.
