Chico, my African Grey Parrot, has been a beloved member of our family for over 15 years. He’s brought so much joy, laughter, and companionship into our lives, and we can’t imagine our home without him. Recently, Chico suffered a traumatic attack in his cage by a raccoon, leaving his wing degloved and his foot badly injured. The pain and distress he’s experiencing are heartbreaking, and we’re doing everything we can to help him recover and feel safe again.

The costs for Chico’s care are overwhelming. The emergency vet visit was just the beginning—he now needs a specialist to perform surgery, and there’s a possibility he may face amputation. Ongoing treatment, medication, and rehabilitation will be necessary to give him the best chance at healing and comfort. We want to do everything possible to help Chico recover, but the financial burden is more than we can manage alone.
