Help Chico Get the Dental Surgery He Deserves
Hi, I’m Miz, and if there’s one thing you should know about me, it’s that my world revolves around my dog, Chico. He’s more than just a pet—he’s my family, my best friend, my therapy dog, and my little shadow. Every wag of his tail, every nap curled up by my side, every goofy face he makes… they mean everything to me.
When I rescued Chico, he was in a heartbreaking state. His claws had grown into his paws, he was rail thin and malnourished, and he had been so severely neglected that his previous owners didn’t even realize he was deaf and partially blind. Many thought he wasn’t worth saving, but Chico and I proved them wrong. Despite everything, he’s still here, still wagging his tail, and still full of so, so much love.
Now Chico needs help once again. Because of the years of neglect, all of his teeth are in really bad shape and need to be surgically removed. He also has a minor heart murmur, so the procedure needs to be handled with care. This surgery will drastically improve his quality of life, ease his current GI issues, and prevent painful complications in the future.
Why this fundraiser matters:
Chico deserves a pain-free, comfortable life after everything he’s been through. I’m living on disability income and can manage his usual vet bills, but the cost of this surgery is beyond what I can cover alone. I want every dollar raised to go directly to Chico’s veterinary team under his name (if possible).
How the funds will be used:
Pre-surgery blood work and tests
The surgery itself (tooth removals under anesthesia)
Medications during the procedure
Post-surgery care and aftercare meds
The estimated cost ranges from $3,116.57 to $5,609.26, depending on how many teeth must be removed once the vet begins.
I’m not just “a dog person.” I’m Chico’s person. And I’ll do absolutely everything I can to make sure he knows he’s safe, loved, and cherished for the rest of his life. If you can donate -even a little- you’ll be helping give Chico the happy, healthy life he’s fought so hard to have. And if you can’t donate, you can still make a huge difference by sharing his story with friends, family, and on social media; every share helps us reach more people who might be able to help Chico.
From the bottom of my heart (and Chico’s tiny, stubborn one): thank you. ❤️
