Chickie was returned to me the day before Christmas Eve after five years. On top of that, I've just discovered she has a loose and very painful tooth and is in dire need of a dental.
I adopted her out to a family five years ago, after rescuing her from a backyard in Palo Alto. She had a litter of kittens, of which none survived, and she's always been a super shy little girl. Her family had patience because they didn't throw her out, but after living with her for five years, she started having behavioral issues in their home and they were over it.
We're pretty bummed this holiday season to be losing a home instead of finding one and I'm now hoping to raise some funds to go toward a dental for her. Hopefully if she's in less pain I can turn her back around and find this beautiful cat a more suitable home. Of course the rescue is helping me as much as they can, but dentals are just a big bill for them as well. This fundraiser is to help cover the cost difference.
