Chicken—also known as Bean or War Lord Jr.—is my friend's beloved one-year-old cat, and truly one of the kindest souls you could ever meet. From the moment he was rescued at just 0.67 lbs, Chicken has been fighting to stay in this world, showing a strength and sweetness that touches everyone he meets. He’s the type of cat who makes everyone feel loved, always ready to play soccer with his toys or gently lick your nose to show affection. All he’s ever wanted is to love and be loved, and he’s become the most important thing in the world to my friend.

Recently, Chicken was diagnosed with heart failure and has had to spend extended time in the hospital to recover. It’s been a difficult and emotional journey, but we’re determined to give him every chance to heal. The costs of his treatment and hospital stay are adding up quickly, and we’re reaching out for help so Chicken can continue to receive the care he desperately needs.
