My name is Chica, and I’m an eight-year-old dog who loves chasing squirrels and going on long walks with my mom. A few weeks ago, I had a terrible accident while chasing a squirrel and ended up knocking my owner down. Unfortunately, I tore a ligament in my knee and now need TPLO surgery to get back on my feet. My vet told me that because I have small legs and have to rely on my other knee so much, I’m at risk of injuring it too. If that happens, I wouldn’t be able to walk at all.

It’s been three weeks since my accident, and I haven’t been able to walk because my mom doesn’t want to risk me hurting my other leg. I’m not even allowed to get on the bed or the couch to watch her come home from work every day. I really miss my long walks and being able to greet my mom at the door. Not being able to go on walks or do the things I love makes me sad, but I know my mom is doing everything she can to help me heal.

The funds raised will cover my surgery, all my medication, and every appointment I need to get better.
