Help Chey’s back!

Hello friends and family, loved ones all. If we haven’t met yet, I am Cheyenne’s wife Hannah! Chey and I are asking for your help for a life-changing procedure for Chey: breast removal. Let me give you some background information on my request today; when Chey was younger she sustained an injury to her back from slipping on a wet floor (ouch!). Over the years, she has had flare-ups of pain and times when her back would go completely out for a couple days at a time, and as she’s gotten older these have occurred more and more frequently.
Fast forward to 2022, and Cheyenne’s back pain had gotten so bad that she had to stop working because she couldn’t even walk without debilitating pain that would literally take her breath away, even with the assistance of a cane. Her neurologist eventually diagnosed her with arthritis and nerve damage, and recommended an ablation to help remedy most of her pain. An ablation, for those who don’t know, is a procedure where a doctor purposefully burns or freezes nerve tissue to treat a problem; in Chey’s case it was burning nerve endings to reduce pain.
Post-ablation she takes a couple months to heal and start to feel the full effects, and things are great! Her back is not 100%, but it is miles ahead of where she was. Our sweet Ruby is born in September of 2022, Chey gets back to work, and life seems to be going swimmingly.
Herein lies the rub: around May of 2023 Chey started to feel the familiar twinges of pain in her lower back, her nerve endings were growing back. She’s had about 7-8 months of relative relief from her pain, which anyone who’s ever had back pain knows is not enough. Her future options are now this: painful ablations every year for the rest of her life, or fusing her bones to reduce motion and therefore pain (which due to her age will lead to complications further down the road).
To help reduce the stress on her back, Cheyenne has made the decision to have her breasts removed. Anyone with large breasts can tell you what kind of strain they can cause to the body, and Cheyenne is no different. Painful divots in her shoulders from bra straps, red and tender sores around her chest under the breasts and on her sides. All of that on top of lower back strain is a recipe for extreme pain that we hoping to avoid in her future. Breast removal will mean no extra weight on her back, shoulders, and neck; no additional strain on her already compromised nerves; and hopefully longer periods of relief between ablations.
We are asking for $10,000 to pay for the procedure and to help cover bills while Cheyenne is recovering and unable to work. Anything you can spare will help us so much, and we really do appreciate everything you can give.
