My name is Cheyenne Lewis, and I am a junior at Benjamin Franklin High School with a 4.2 GPA and a strong commitment to both academic excellence and community engagement. I currently serve as President of FeedNOLA, a food pantry service club in the 9th Ward, and I am also the secretary of the New Orleans Children and Youth Planning Board. In addition, I participate in Mock Trial, play flag football, and have completed over 100 community service hours. I am currently a fellow with the Partnership for Southern Equity, through which I will be advocating in Washington, D.C., and I have also previously advocated at the Louisiana State Capitol. In the future, I hope to become a criminal and civil rights lawyer, and I am deeply passionate about justice and serving my community. I was recently accepted into the Spelman Early College Program, which will allow me to spend a month at my dream school earning college-level English credit and gaining valuable academic experience. However, the program is very expensive and does not offer scholarships, so I am seeking financial support to make this opportunity possible and continue building toward my future goals.
