Anyone who knows me, or our family knows our 2 year old pup Chewie! Unfortunately, he has developed juvenile cataract in not one eye, but both. Usually dogs develop this issue later down the line in their adult years and its rare to see it in them this young. His right eye is currently in a lot of pain and he can barely keep it open at this point. We first noticed the cloudiness in his eyes last summer and it has gotten worse over the last couple months. It breaks our hearts to see him not want to play with other dogs because of his blurred vision when it used to be one of his most favorite activities; along with learning to hunt and sniff out different objects with his dad. The only way to correct this issue is with surgery. Our family is on a very tight budget and while we have been spending the last couple of months trying to figure out other options, this was our last resort. Anything helps. Every penny. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
