Help Chewie Fight Kidney Disease for a Longer Life

Hello. I am CC and I am asking for support for my cat Chewie.

In January of this year Chewie showed elevated levels in labs that pointed to kidney disease. After further review, and ultrasound, it was confirmed Chewie was in Stage 2. It came at an awful time as Chewie needed very important dental work done. Having been put under anesthesia on two separate occasions, and the natural order of things, Chewie’s kidneys have been pushed pretty hard.

I have been doing everything I can within my means to make sure Chewie is on the right diet, and has the most comfortable life. We even have started to see a new vet who is closer to us, right down the street. But after some time of stability, Chewie’s kidney disease has gotten worse. As of this month, September, his creatinine is only getting higher. He is in Stage 3. I now need to start administering fluids and giving him supplements to try to help stabilize the disease. Chewie is only 8 years old. He deserves to see double digit years of life. He is the sweetest cat you’ll ever meet.

I have to admit that I can no longer do this on my own. With multiple cats, and my own medical issues that come with their own bills, I need support for Chewie.

My goal is set to help pay for some of Chewie’s previous bills, and to help me with the journey of sub q fluids and supplements that he will now be on. Chewie’s vet is based at Arlington Cat Clinic, and you may verify if you feel fit. I do not know if they allow donations straight to his account, but will update once I have confirmation. For now, anything helps us here. Even if it’s a share.
