Help with Chewbacca’s vet bills & cremation costs

Hi everyone, I’m fundraising for my loving dog Chewbacca aka Chewie who was just diagnosed with lymphatic cancer or lymphoma. He is only a 4 year old American pit bull- Australian Shepard mix. I have had him since he was just a puppy and acquired him from Alaska bully rescue.

Even a small donation could help reach the fundraising goal. And if you can't make a donation, it would be great if you could share the fundraiser to help spread the word.

If you don’t know him he is the most loyal loving dog EVER! He has helped me through everything and I couldn’t imagine my life without him. We would be so grateful if you consider to donate or share this post!

Out of nowhere he started acting lethargic, not eating, and not like himself, so I took him in to the pet ER.. We had extensive tests ran at the veterinary emergency group.. blood tests, ultrasounds, X-rays, and more. They said the blood tests said he had low red blood cell count, meaning that he was anemic along with being dehydrated and having a snappy heart rate I stayed there all night with him and slept on the floor with him while they were monitoring him and administering fluids. They billed me 3,560$ just for that night.

First thing the next morning he had to be transferred to a specialist at fetch vet clinic, to run more tests. We spent all day there and they sent us home with steroid meds and appetite stimulant. He has been doing okay eating a lot better but seems just tired in general. Today I got the results back and it pains me to say he has spots in his liver and spleen, and both sites came back with Lymphoma. The bills are just adding up at this point.. between the hospitalization and medications they have him on it’s a lot.. over 6,500$ all together. So deviating to be charged an arm and a leg just to be told your best friend is dying..

Unfortunately, the cause of lymphoma in dogs is not known and comes on suddenly. The life expectancy with most types of lymphoma in dogs is limited to only a few months. With chemotherapy protocols, this is increased to an average of 6½ to 12 months depending on the treatment plan. Moving forward I plan to just keep him comfortable in his last days as best as I can without chemo❤️
I am completely heart broken and beside myself but going to make the best of what time we have left together with your help ❤️
