Our sweet golden retriever puppy, Chewbacca, is only 9 months old—but instead of running, playing, and enjoying life the way a puppy should, he’s struggling just to get up and walk.

Chewbacca has always been the heart of our family. He’s a bundle of love and energy, greeting everyone with his signature hug—wrapping his front paws around your leg and making you feel instantly special. Lately, though, we’ve watched our sweet boy struggle.

Chewbacca was just diagnosed with severe hip dysplasia. He’s been limping, having trouble walking, and even sitting has become difficult for him. Despite the pain, his playful and loving spirit shines through, but it’s clear he needs help.

The only way to give Chewbacca the life he deserves is through a total hip replacement.
