Help Chewbacca roar again!

Hi, my names Tim, and this is my adorable rescue cat Chewbacca. We're an inseparable boy and his cat from the south of England, and we're desperate for funds to help with Chewies dental work.

I adopted Chewie a couple of years ago - a rescue cat, he was difficult to rehome as he is a permanent carrier of feline calicivirus (FCV), a contagious respiratory illness. He had to become a house cat, and for me as a disabled person who also has trouble leaving the house, we were a match made in pet heaven!

Unfortunately, FCV in cats can cause significant dental problems, from gingivitis onwards, and he now needs multiple extractions to combat oral disease. Sadly, insurers won't cover us, as the FCV is a pre-existing condition. I had funds set aside to cover the eventuality, but have had to use them to heat the house as the cost of living goes up and my multiple sclerosis worsens. To make matters worse, I've just lost my job, so am now relying solely on welfare benefits.

Chewie will always come first - I'll go without heating or food before I see him suffer, but it's still difficult to find the funds to pay for his extractions & aftercare even cutting back on my needs.

He's beautiful, my little soul mate - I'll do anything for him, but these vets bills are a nigh-impossible stretch whatever I sacrifice. I hate the idea of asking for help, but we both could really use any assistance you may be able to offer.
