Hi everyone, my name is Myrna Arroyo & Kimberly Gonzalez.
We are reaching out with a heavy heart because our beloved dog Chewbacca, also known as Chewbbies, needs urgent surgery. Chewbbies is 1 year and 7 months old. He suffers from seizures and epilepsy and takes this medication called Keppra twice a day to help control the seizures. He was also born with this condition called Cryptorchidism syndrome; it is when one or both testicles fail to drop down into the scrotum. Chewbbies will need to have a cryptorchidectomy surgery. Upon ultrasound exam, they were able to verify that his testicles are stuck in his abdomen, which they need to surgically remove because it’s very dangerous; it can cause tumors and can be cancerous. He also needs surgery in his eyes. He suffers from a corneal dermoid, which is a congenital growth. It is a mass of skin-like tissue that contains hair follicles. So basically, he is growing hair inside his eyes, which is affecting his vision and needs to have it surgically removed as soon as possible doctors will be doing both surgeries at the same time . This is why we are asking for your help He is more than just a pet; he is our family, our son, our source of unconditional love. Unfortunately, the cost of the procedure is more than what we can afford on our own, and we are asking for your help.
