Chet is my 14-year-old cat, and he’s been with me since I was 14. He’s been my constant companion through every stage of life—high school, college, and everything since. When I’ve faced traumatic experiences or felt down, Chet has always been there, offering comfort and support. At the end of every day, he’s the one I want to see, and his presence means everything to me.

Recently, Chet was diagnosed with gastrointestinal cancer after a mass was found in his stomach. The diagnosis alone was a huge financial strain, and now he needs chemotherapy to help his quality of life, though it will not cure him. The doctors predict that we may have less than a year together, and I want to make sure Chet is as comfortable and happy as possible for the time he has left. The costs for his care are overwhelming, but I want to give him the best chance to enjoy his days by my side.
