Hello, My name is Heather, and I'm seeking assistance raising money for my youngest brother Chester "Waynie" Williamson (52). Last year, he was unfortunately misdiagnosed with kidney stones after going for a doctor's visit for abdominal pain, only to be diagnosed with Kidney cancer In May of 2021. He had the diseased kidney removed last June in Mexico, where he received his official diagnosis, but his recovery was complicated due to contracting COVID. He was hospitalized for an entire week in the ICU and lost 40 pounds. Despite the doctors telling him that he was cancer free, he was diagnosed with metastatic cancer [cancer that had spread to his leg muscles, lung, liver, bladder and lumbar region, this past February 10.

He is now alternating between radiation and chemotherapy. He is experiencing severe pain in his lower back and leg and is facing other side effects. The pain has impacted my brother’s ability to work full time, and he struggles to financially support himself and his family. he still works part-time while he can. Still, it takes a tremendous toll on him physically and mentally. Waynie has been waiting for his health insurance to go through, but he was just recently notified that since it’s a preexisting medical condition, he has been denied  he is currently paying out of pocket for both treatments, which has crippled him financially. Flying out for the treatments from The Bahamas (where he lives) to Mexico has also become increasingly expensive.

Waynie is an incredible father to his five kids and husband to his wife. He's incredibly selfless and the cornerstone of our family. Even in these challenging times, he has remained in high spirits and does his best to keep our family uplifted. To his close friends, he's known affectionately as whizzy because of how lively and entertaining he is. He’s compassionate, always the first to help anyone in need and genuinely the most loving person you’ll ever meet. I would be forever grateful if you would assist in raising 60k to help fund my little brother's treatments to improve his current state of health. Thank you.
