My wife Cheryl had been diagnosed with MAC (Microbacteria Avium Complex) disease back in 2023. The MAC disease has progressively gotten worst. Since last December, she has not been able to eat a regular meal without getting sick and lost considerable weight. She has been at the Medical Center of South Carolina (MUSC) in Charleston, SC for over four weeks. Doctors did a number of tests to see what is causing the disease to progress. They did a bone marrow biopsy to see if she had a blood disease or blood cancer. Thankfully, the tests came back negative. The doctors changed one of her antibiotics which caused her kidneys to take a hit.
Last week, she had a feeding tube placed in her stomach to provide her with proper nutrition. Cheryl will hopefully be discharged in the next day or two and will be going into a rehab facility for the next several weeks. Unfortunately, between hotel bills, food bills, current out of pocket hospital bills over $4,300 and future rehabilitation center costs, our family is struggling with finances. I have never in my 66 years ever asked for any hand outs or money. Unfortunately, today I need your help and support. I appreciate any monetary donations that can be made to help Cheryl with the current and future expenses.
Thank you,
Darrell
