My son and I have been through a lot in the past few months. In October 2025, we became homeless and had to rely on the kindness of friends and family for a place to stay. That same month, I was diagnosed with breast cancer, which turned our world upside down. I had a double mastectomy in November and have since had two more surgeries because of infection. It’s been a challenging journey, both physically and emotionally, but I’m grateful for the support we’ve received along the way.
Recently, we finally moved into our own apartment. Having a place to call home after months of uncertainty is a huge relief. The breast cancer foundation has helped us with gas for my medical appointments, which has made a big difference. Now, our biggest need is food for our apartment. We’re doing our best to get back on our feet, but things are still tough as we wait for payday at the end of the month.
I know asking for help isn’t easy, and it’s not something I’m used to. But any little bit of support would mean the world to us right now. Thank you for reading our story and considering a donation to help us make it through this difficult time.
